There’s nothing quite like the thrill of finding a designer handbag for a bargain. As any fashion enthusiast knows, approaching these finds with a wary eye is crucial. It’s always good to know what you’re looking for when verifying the authenticity. Here are a few key points to keep in mind when shopping to help ensure your items are the real deal:

  1. Research your item

Take time to look up your item online. Review online picture guides, like PurseBlog, regarding what authentic merchandise looks like versus replicas.

     2)  Inspect your item

When you meet the seller, make sure to examine the item and ensure that it matches up with your research. Do not be afraid to ask to inspect the item before completing the purchase.

     3)  Trust your instincts

Always remember, if something doesn’t feel right, do not follow through with the transaction! Sometimes if something is too good to be true, it likely is.

Happy shopping, fashionistas!

    Greetings.

Nearly every day I see listings with obvious FAKE/REPLICA purses, MK watches and others. I report them, some get removed and others remain listed.

i will post a list of a few of the sellers posting fake items that have not been removed(yet). If you go on their page you can report them. It seems like the moderators require more training on this as it is becoming a regular thing on 5mile to go through all the trash listings of people selling fake LV, fake chanel, fake MK purses, and other items.

These names are current as of 10-16-2016

Leslie Sifuentes Has Fake(replica) Louis Vuitton listed at $125

DayaWams All kinds of FAKE LV purses, fake Celine, fake Chanel, Fake Rolex,,,,,,One of the worst offenders Been reported several times and she hasn’t missed a beat. A Fake merchandise selling machine.

    Julie Garza FAKE LV

    ROCKY Balboa fake Rolex

    Alyssa Delaine Fake Mk watch

    D Williams Fake LV

    Jose Fake LV

    Adam Multiple fake listings

    Christ Fake LV (high quality)

    Mrs. Shopgirl fake MK purse

    ANN fake MK jewelry

PS It must be noted that selling replica/inspired by/fakes is not only against the terms of service of 5Mile. LLC, in most cases is also a violation of state/federal/local laws. We all need to pitch in and keep the community as crap free as possible. I can tell you first hand that every member matters, especially the ones following the rules. It brings a level of integrity that is not matched on any other forum. Management does listen and they do reply to feedback. There is nothing worse than seeing a scammer and not reporting it. SO if you see one post it, report it, so it can be investigated.

One of the biggest things you can do is to check the prices, ask the right questions, and get documented proof of authenticity, especially regarding high end items. If a seller is evasive it is an automatic red flag. Other times you will see the designer item listed with a generic description such as ‘purse” or belt, or Bag…This is an attempt to skirt the system and not draw attention to the phoney listing.

    PPS

If you do not find these members and their listing just remember the guidelines as the account info has been changed to avoid breaking the Terms of service and more than likely, the Law..

    Till Next time
